Enrique F. Bolona founded South Tropical S.A. in 1.999 after
6 years General Manager of Futurcorp S.A. This company produced
and exported conventional and organic banana puree for the
baby food and food ingredient industry. Produced under very
high quality standards and quality control systems like
HACCP.
The South Tropical approach was to buy abandoned shrimp farms
and convert them to organic practices. Mr Bolona believed
that conventional practices, with high density stocks, created
the basis for shrimp mortality.
