UNESCO - MAB Biosphere Reserves

UNESCO's Programme on Man and the Biosphere (MAB) develops the basis, within the natural and the social sciences, for the sustainable use and conservation of biological diversity, and for the improvement of the relationship between people and their environment globally.

Ecuador committee for the MAB Biosphere reserve programme, is preparing documents application for the Gulf of Guayaquil & Jambeli approval. (MAPS)

Galapagos Island, Yasuni, and Sumaco, already get approval for their conservation program.

Application means commitment for correction and preservation plans for the area. Including only sustainable productive activities.
